BlackRock’s Digital Asset AUM Nears $80B as Institutional Demand Persists
BlackRock's digital asset division crossed a milestone with $14.1 billion in Q2 2025 inflows, bringing total crypto AUM to $79.6 billion. While still just 1% of the firm's $12.5 trillion empire, the segment is now among its fastest-growing product lines.
The flows represent institutional conviction amid macroeconomic uncertainty, with year-to-date digital asset inflows reaching $17 billion. Crypto products drove 16% of BlackRock's $85 billion ETF haul for the quarter.
Revenue remains modest at $40 million from base fees and securities lending, but signals growing yield opportunities. CEO Larry Fink highlighted digital assets alongside custom strategies as key growth drivers.
